This afternoon, April 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of Ly Son district to hold a press conference to provide information related to the organization of Quang Ngai Tourism Week and the series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: Quang Ngai Tourism Week 2024 (taking place from April 22 to May 5) is a series of rich and diverse cultural, sports and tourism events, imbued with the traditional cultural identity of Quang Ngai province, with the typical highlight being the Hoang Sa soldier's Khao Le The Linh Festival held on Ly Son Island - a place considered a living museum, preserving valuable documents, materials and evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the East Sea; Festival "Each OCOP product is a story" and space for agricultural and rural community tourism; Workshop "Developing rural tourism, community tourism in Quang Ngai province - Opportunities and prospects".
Implement Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU dated November 2, 2021 of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee on promoting tourism development to gradually become a spearhead economic sector.
Along with that, Ly Son district also organizes many special activities in the Ly Son Cultural, Sports and Tourism Event Series in 2024 with the brand positioning product being the Ly Son Sea Swimming Competition.
The Hoang Sa Soldier Commemoration Festival is a national intangible heritage.

The Quang Ngai Tourism Week and the Ly Son Cultural, Sports and Tourism Event Series in 2024 aim to introduce and promote the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Quang Ngai in general and Ly Son in particular; contribute to stimulating demand, attracting tourists, attracting tourism businesses to expand the market, building new tours, routes and tourist destinations; attracting investors to explore investment opportunities in the province. Raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in improving health, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, natural resources, protecting the environment for tourism development.
