On June 26, Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs organized a communication session on drug prevention and control.
This is an activity in response to National Day against Drugs (June 26) and Action Month against Drugs (June 1-30, 2023). The communication session has the theme "Let's stop drugs together".
Attending the media session were leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; representatives of the Police, People's Procuracy, People's Court of Lao Cai city; officials, civil servants, students, and representatives of students' families at Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 of Lao Cai province (Da Dinh village, Ta Phoi commune, Lao Cai city).
At the media session, delegates listened to guest speakers discuss the fight against drugs and the harmful effects of drugs; and watched a skit on drug prevention. This helped equip students and their relatives with knowledge and understanding about drug prevention and control.
Speaking at the communication session, the leader of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs hoped that the community and people would not discriminate against drug addicts but would consider them as people who have gone astray and need help to reintegrate into the community and live a useful life for society; join hands to help people who have committed drug-related violations and drug addicts see the harmful effects of drugs to stay away; students at drug rehabilitation facilities in the province actively participate in labor therapy, study, practice skills, and prepare well for sustainable reintegration into the community.
On this occasion, the Director of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 presented Certificates of Merit to 10 students with good academic achievements at the facility (photo above).
