Displaying hundreds of valuable documents and artifacts about the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong

(Dan Tri) - The exhibition titled "The Heritage of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac" displayed and introduced 200 images, documents, artifacts and more than 200 books related to the life and career of the great physician.

On December 25, the Cultural - Cinema Center of Ha Tinh province held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "The Heritage of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac", an event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.

The exhibition introduces 200 images, documents, artifacts and more than 200 books about the life and career of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong, including the woodblock "Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam Linh" and medical, literary, historical and philosophical works such as "Thuong Kinh Ky Su", "Chau Ngoc Cach Ngon", "Dao Luu Du Van Quyen", "Y Hai Cau Nguyen".

In particular, the exhibition also has the participation of traditional medicine units such as the Central Hospital of Traditional Medicine, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, Ha Tinh Traditional Medicine Hospital and Ha Tinh Oriental Medicine Association.

Dr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Director of the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, emphasized that the exhibition not only recreates the achievements of Hai Thuong Lan Ong but also serves as a reminder of his responsibility to preserve and promote cultural heritage.

Mr. Chuong affirmed: "His precious remedies and profound medical philosophies are an endless source of inspiration, a flame that lights up the aspiration for today's generation to continue, protect and promote the quintessence of traditional Vietnamese medicine. Preserving and promoting these heritages is to protect cultural values, contributing to enriching the knowledge treasure of the Vietnamese people."

The exhibition "The Heritage of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac" is held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (1724-2024). This is an important cultural event, honoring his great contributions to the medicine, literature, culture, and history of Vietnam and the world.

The exhibition takes place from December 25 to 28, at the Ha Tinh Cultural - Cinema Center, Phan Dinh Phung Street, Ha Tinh City.
