Officially clearing the bottleneck of the 'bamboo bush' on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street (Vinh City)

The bottleneck at the intersection of Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Tue Tinh streets in Ha Huy Tap ward is considered one of the most frustrating traffic points in Vinh city. Here, the roadway is narrowed, causing traffic congestion during rush hour, and vehicle collisions occur frequently. People often call this the "bamboo bush" bottleneck that has existed for decades, causing much frustration for the people.

It is known that this bamboo clump is located on the land of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ha, Yen Son block, Ha Huy Tap ward. In recent years, due to the failure to agree on a compensation plan for site clearance with this household, this large bamboo clump has not been cleared.

Ha Huy Tap ward authorities said that Mr. Ha's family has a land area of more than 260 square meters, the area included in the clearance and upgrading of Hai Thuong Lan Ong street is 131.9 square meters (including bamboo bushes and houses).

After many times of propaganda and mobilization, this household has agreed to the State's compensation plan and completed the procedures to receive the money on March 13.

Therefore, on March 14, Vinh City authorities deployed vehicles and personnel to cut down the bamboo bushes, paving the way to upgrade the road to ensure progress. Regarding Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ha's house, because he runs a grocery store, the city created conditions for the household to complete the cleaning and relocation of goods before proceeding with the clearance.

Currently, Vinh City is focusing on site clearance to carry out the construction of section 2 of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, starting at the intersection with Truong Van Linh/Tue Tinh Street and ending at the intersection with Bui Huy Bich Street. This section will pass through Ha Huy Tap Ward and Nghi Phu Commune.

For Nghi Phu commune, the site clearance work has been carried out quickly. 10 households in this locality have agreed to the compensation plan and handed over the site. For Ha Huy Tap ward, the locality is making efforts to propagate and mobilize some remaining households to soon agree on the compensation plan so that the road can be upgraded on schedule.
