On the afternoon of April 4, the Vinh Long Provincial Military Party Committee held the first quarter Party Committee Conference, setting out the direction for leadership in implementing tasks in the second quarter. Attending and directing the conference were comrade Tran Tien Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Colonel Tran Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

In the first quarter, the Provincial Party Committee - Military Command performed well its advisory role to assist the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee; at the same time, led and directed the unit to fulfill local military and defense tasks in all aspects of work, notably military recruitment, combat readiness, and military party building.
In the second quarter, the Provincial Military Party Committee continued to proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead, direct and effectively implement directives and resolutions of the Party, State and military on the field of military, local defense and Party building, focusing on the work of merging, dissolving and streamlining agencies and units in the provincial armed forces; force building work; summarizing projects related to military and defense work; organizing training for subjects according to plan, ensuring good logistics and technical work and absolute safety for activities.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Tien Dung suggested that the Party Committee, in the process of advising, leading and directing the implementation of tasks in the second quarter, should thoroughly grasp the resolutions at all levels, focusing on strengthening the management, education and orientation of ideological awareness and action for cadres, party members, soldiers of the armed forces and the masses in response to the requirements of the renovation cause, especially the streamlining of the organization and staffing of military agencies at all levels. Advise and organize an effective summary of projects related to military and defense tasks.
At the same time, coordinate well and advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to closely lead and direct key tasks such as: organizing the provincial Military-Civilian Tet; the process of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2026. Maintain the armed forces to seriously carry out combat readiness work; build a regular order, manage discipline, and focus on accelerating the training progress for the subjects.
Directing subordinate Party cells and grassroots Party committees to hold congresses, proactively and actively preparing documents and personnel to submit to the 13th Provincial Military Party Congress. Conducting personnel work in accordance with procedures, ensuring the quality of cadres in each assigned position, responsibility and task.
