Comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Behavior chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Comrade Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Behavior and the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform; representatives of specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors; Standing members of district and city Party Committees and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc.
In 2023, closely following the leadership and direction of the Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee have actively and proactively implemented the assigned political tasks. The focus is on researching, proposing, and advising the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to issue documents directing the implementation of resolutions, directives, and announcements of conclusions of the Central Committee; proactively grasping the progress and advising on policies for handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity; receiving, classifying, and handling petitions assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and citizens sent to the Committee; strictly performing the duties of being on duty and handling information and recommendations via the Provincial Party Committee's hotline. The Committee also performed well the tasks of the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.
During the year, the implementation of tasks of agencies and units in the internal affairs sector also achieved many positive results. In the field of ensuring security, social order and safety, the police force effectively organized and implemented peak periods of attacking and suppressing crimes. Social order was ensured, criminal offenses decreased by 14%, the rate of investigation and discovery of cases exceeded 19% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Public Security, traffic accidents decreased, and social evils were controlled. Complicated and sensitive cases were promptly investigated and handled, preventing negative public opinion from occurring.
Inspection, examination and supervision work has a focus, key focus, focusing on areas prone to corruption and negativity. The work of receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been directed by all levels and sectors with positive changes. Investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of sentences are carried out in accordance with the provisions of law.
District and city Party Committees have focused on leading and directing all levels and sectors to seriously implement the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's policies and laws on internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform; seriously receive people, have direct dialogue with people, direct the handling and resolution of complicated cases of public concern in the area, making an important contribution to ensuring political security, social order and safety, effectively serving the local political tasks.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing and clarifying the achieved results, and at the same time proposed solutions to overcome shortcomings and limitations in internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, negativity and judicial reform.
Concluding the conference, comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in 2023 by agencies and units in implementing internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, negativity and judicial reform.
Discussing and clarifying some recommendations and proposals of the delegates at the conference, he affirmed: The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee will fully absorb, synthesize, and report to the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity and the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform to study, consider, direct timely removal and resolution.
In 2024, in addition to performing well the key tasks stated in the draft report and the contents agreed upon at the conference, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee requested that agencies and units in the bloc, especially district and city Party committees, pay attention to enhancing the role of advisory units assisting in internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Effectively implement the signed coordination regulations; promptly provide and exchange information and documents to coordinating agencies to serve the advisory work for the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
