On August 25, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Binh Khanh Commune, Can Gio District, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Police Veterans Association coordinated with the Lao Dong Newspaper and Tan Thanh Mechanical Trading Joint Stock Company to present scholarships and financial support to students who have overcome difficulties in their studies and are children and grandchildren of members of the Can Gio District People's Police Veterans Association.
At the ceremony, the Lao Dong Newspaper awarded 13 scholarships (VND 2 million/scholarship) to students who are children and grandchildren of members of the Association of Former People's Police Officers of Can Gio District who have overcome difficulties in their studies. On this occasion, Tan Thanh Mechanical Trading Joint Stock Company also awarded 13 scholarships (VND 1 million/scholarship) to students who have overcome difficulties in their studies in Can Gio District.
Receiving the scholarship and study support, Nguyen Hoai Bao - a student from Binh Khanh commune, Can Gio district - was moved: "Today I feel very happy and joyful. I would like to thank the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who supported this gift, giving me strength to continue to strive in my studies."

According to Mr. Vo Van Lia, Chairman of the Association of Former People's Police Officers of Can Gio District, the scholarships and financial support awarded to students on August 26 are also among the first gifts that local students have received in the new school year. "I would like to thank Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and the sponsors for supporting the students so that they can have more joy and excitement in the new school year," he said.

According to the plan, from August 21 to 31, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will award scholarships and support study expenses worth 113 million VND to students who are children and grandchildren of members of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Police Veterans Association in the area.
These scholarships and financial support for studying are taken from the "Scholarship Program to support ethnic minority and poor students" of the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong .
