According to Ms. Doan Nguyen Van Khanh, Executive Director of IIG Vietnam Education Organization, the contest aims to create a playground for students who love English, encourage learning and help them be confident in communication, more proactive in learning foreign languages, easily access knowledge and wisdom from developed countries to create a solid foundation for the future.

According to Ms. Khanh, over the past 12 years, the competition has continuously developed in both scale and quality, and the ability of contestants has been gradually improved through each season. This shows that the competition has been successful in promoting the movement of teaching and learning English in schools, contributing to the effort to improve the quality of English learning in high schools.

The competition consists of three rounds: online experience round, provincial/municipal round and national final round. The competition uses a system of TOEFL tests including TOEFL Primary, TOEFL Junior and TOEFL ITP which are designed to be highly systematic, using the same international standard assessment measures linked across all levels of education, contributing to the assessment of students' foreign language proficiency while helping teachers and schools have a more effective approach to teaching.

For Hanoi contestants, this year’s contest is the first time the organizers have implemented a Speaking test for contestants participating in the city-level ranking round. This test aims to assess students’ English speaking skills and proficiency, thereby contributing to the comprehensive development of students’ foreign language abilities, helping them communicate confidently and effectively in the context of globalization and international integration./.
