Taking advantage of the time when the fields have not yet entered the production season, localities in Ha Tinh are simultaneously launching land consolidation campaigns, concentrating land, and forming large-scale production areas.
As a locality assigned to complete land consolidation before the 2024 spring crop, Son Loc commune (Can Loc) took advantage of the time when the fields had not yet entered production to accelerate land consolidation, break down small plots, and form large plots.
The implementation of the land concentration project in Can Loc received the support of the people.
Mr. Than Van Vy - Chairman of Son Loc Commune People's Committee said: "Large-scale fields with uniform seasons, varieties, and techniques in many localities inside and outside the district have produced high yields, so despite the difficulties in conversion, officials and people are still unanimous in resolving them. The whole commune has 450 hectares of rice land, of which 112 hectares have formed concentrated production areas. The locality is making efforts to consolidate and exchange plots for the remaining 338 hectares before the 2024 spring crop."

With the determination to awaken the potential of land, in recent years, localities in Ha Tinh have proactively carried out the "revolution" of land consolidation, land concentration and breaking up small land borders, forming large plots. Large fields with uniform seasons, varieties, and techniques for outstanding productivity have created a breakthrough in Ha Tinh's fields. Obviously, land concentration has contributed to promoting the application of technology in production; increasing productivity per unit area; accelerating the implementation of solutions to restructure the agricultural sector; attracting production enterprises, linking in brand building and product consumption.
According to the Ha Tinh Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, in the spring crop of 2024, the whole province strives to plant 59,120 hectares of rice of all kinds; in which Cam Xuyen, Can Loc, Thach Ha, Duc Tho... are localities with large production areas.
As of September 2023, the whole province has concentrated land, forming a large-scale production area on an area of 10,669 hectares. At this time, taking advantage of the time when the fields have not yet entered the production season, localities are actively propagating and mobilizing people to simultaneously mobilize to consolidate land, break up small plots, and form large plots with the goal of winning in the new crop.
