A ball dispute on the field
Permanent Vice President of the HCM City Newspaper Duong Vu Thong shared: "For me, it has been a long time since I have returned to the field. Today's match is very special, a traditional occasion for journalists. Although we have to focus on our studies and expertise, this is a special match so everyone still tries to arrange to participate enthusiastically. I am both happy and pleased to create solidarity between journalists and the HCM City government agencies."
Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, said that similar matches on anniversaries will be replicated and held annually. Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan said: "The match was very fun, leaving many emotions, especially when the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also participated in the match. On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, there were many activities, but this match was really meaningful. In addition to the spirit of sports, there was also the story of connecting, exchanging, sharing and cooperating with each other. This is a very necessary and useful activity. I think the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and press agencies need to maintain the movement of physical exercise and sports, especially football.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also commented that the match was very fun and that such matches should be held on many anniversaries of other sectors and Ho Chi Minh City, not just on the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day. In particular, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and press agencies intend to annually organize matches like this on the occasion of the Press Day anniversary.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Nam Nhan expressed: "This match is organized on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, thereby showing the influence of the press on the city government, as well as the city government's attention to the press in the process of building and developing the country. Through friendly sports matches, we will have more connection, to continue to develop together in the near future. In football, the players on the field compete with each other. And in the stands, there are many fans supporting. Therefore, I think on any occasion, we should organize such football matches, it will be very meaningful".
