After the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the 10th grade entrance exam scores for the 2023-2024 school year, the top scorer of this exam was revealed with a total score of 29.25 points. Specifically, the candidate with the highest total score in the 3 subjects of Math, Literature and Foreign Language of this year's 10th grade entrance exam (for regular 10th grade admission) is Vu Ngoc Bich.
In particular, this candidate scored 9.25 points in Literature and 10 points in Math and English.
This is also the candidate with the highest score in the Literature exam in this year's entrance exam. Thus, compared to the 2022-2023 public grade 10 entrance exam, the two candidates achieved the highest total score of 29 points in 3 subjects.
For the 10th grade specialized entrance exam, Pham Quoc Binh achieved the highest score with 46.75/50 points (including 8 points in Literature; 9.75 points in English; 10 points in Math and 9.5 points in specialized subjects).
Next, candidates Nguyen Bao Han and Huynh Quang Phu both scored 46/50 points.
Compared to the 2022-2023 public 10th grade entrance exam, the candidates with the highest total score in the specialized program this year were lower than last year. In 2022, the candidate with the highest total score in the specialized program was 48.75 points.

According to the exam results of nearly 96,000 candidates, in English, 2,147 exams scored 10 points, accounting for 2.22% (in 2022, only 478 candidates scored 10 points in this subject).
In addition, 32% of the exams achieved excellent scores (8 points or higher). This is also the subject with the highest number of exams with 8 points or higher in this year's entrance exam.
For Literature, the highest score achieved by a candidate was 9.25 points with 27 candidates. In addition, 272 candidates scored 9 points and 7 candidates scored 0 points. This subject had about 90% of the test scores above average, of which 12% of the test scores were 8 points or higher.
Meanwhile, for Math, statistics show that 121 candidates scored 10 points, 165 candidates scored 0 points. In addition, nearly 55% of Math exams scored above average, with scores concentrated at 5-7 points.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that candidates can submit an application for re-examination from June 21 to June 24 at the secondary school where they attended grade 9.
It is expected that on June 30, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will announce the results of the review.
On June 24, this department continued to announce the admission scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade and direct admission results.
From June 25 to 29, candidates admitted to specialized, integrated and direct admission 10th grade classes must submit their admission applications to the schools they have been admitted to.
Expected to announce the benchmark scores for public grade 10 on July 10.
