The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on increasing the use of digital signatures in the city.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the directors of departments, branches, and chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City to promote their roles and responsibilities as leaders to strictly implement digital signatures and apply digital signatures to each cadre, civil servant, and public employee at agencies and units within their management scope.
Units with low digital signature usage rates need to focus on rectification, develop roadmaps and solutions to increase the rate of digital signature usage at the unit. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant units to propagate the legality of digital signatures in electronic transactions in many appropriate forms.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to advise the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to continue directing the application of digital signatures at agencies and units. The Department of Information and Communications was assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to study Decision No. 1198/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on promulgating the plan to implement the Law on Electronic Transactions, advise and propose to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the implementation of this decision, ensuring the set progress.
