On the afternoon of May 31, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City informed about the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will organize 165 exam sites with more than 85,400 candidates participating.

Specifically, of the 85,453 candidates taking the High School Graduation Exam this year, there were 72,886 high school candidates, 9,194 continuing education candidates and 3,373 independent candidates.
Ho Chi Minh City will organize 165 exam sites, an increase of 7 exam sites compared to the 2022 High School Graduation Exam. Of which, each district and Thu Duc City will organize 1-3 backup exam sites, each exam site has at least 3 backup rooms for unusual cases.
It is expected that the city will mobilize 14,075 officials, teachers and staff to participate in the exam, of which about 11,600 officials and teachers will participate in exam supervision and 2,475 staff will serve at the exam sites.
In addition, the total number of staff and teachers participating in official exam marking (making notes, scoring, marking multiple-choice and essay tests...) is 1,710 people, while the team of staff and teachers participating in re-marking is 1,000 people.
According to the plan, the exam marking will take place from June 30 to July 15, and the re-marking will take place from July 29 to August 5.
This year, the High School Graduation Exam will take place over 3 days: June 27, 28 and 29. June 30 is the backup exam day.
Candidates take the exams in Math, Literature, Foreign Language and one of two combined exams: Natural Sciences or Social Sciences.
Before that, at 2:00 p.m. on June 27, candidates were present at the examination site to complete examination procedures, correct information errors (if any) and listen to the examination regulations.
