On the morning of August 1, Thu Duc City People's Committee held a conference to commend and reward students with outstanding achievements and teachers who nurture excellent students in the 2023-2024 school year.
This is one of the activities held annually to summarize the emulation movement of good teaching - good learning, honor teachers and students with high achievements in studying and participating in the movement, thereby contributing to encouraging, motivating and creating motivation for teachers and students to strive to excel and successfully achieve the goals of education and training development.
In the 2023-2024 school year, a total of 76 administrators and teachers were awarded.
Particularly for students, Thu Duc City has commended and rewarded 13 students who won international prizes, 5 excellent students at the national level, 1 student who was the valedictorian of the specialized subject at the entrance exam to grade 10 of public schools, 245 excellent students at high school level, 222 excellent students at middle school level and 36 students who won prizes in cultural, sports and art festivals at the city, national and international levels.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, the above encouraging results were achieved thanks to the selection of excellent students being carried out seriously, fairly and objectively; focusing on finding and training talented students; encouraging the spirit of self-study and participation in the excellent student team of students.
Appreciating that effort, Vice Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee Nguyen Ky Phung expressed that the Conference to commend and reward students with excellent academic achievements and teachers with many contributions to the movement of training and fostering excellent students is a very meaningful activity to recognize and encourage the efforts of all students and teachers, contributing to the excellent completion of the tasks of the 2023-2024 school year.
"In the coming time, I suggest that teachers continue to find more optimal solutions to encourage students to be proactive and creative in learning, have a sense of self-study and improve life skills. In addition to promoting the achievements, the education sector needs to seriously review the limitations to overcome and set higher requirements for the sector's responsibility in the general development trend of the country", the Vice Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee commented.
In the coming time, Thu Duc City will build a high-quality education center as the core for developing education in general, nurturing excellent students in particular in the area, effectively implementing the motto "Mass education combined with key education".
