Scale over 3.5 hectares - Design capacity 300,000 tons/year

The animal feed factory that BAF has just started construction on is located in Nhon Hoa Industrial Park, An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province; built on a scale of 3.5 hectares; designed capacity of 300,000 tons/year and expected to officially operate by the end of 2025.

The construction of a new factory in the South Central region will increase the feed production capacity of BAF's entire nationwide factory system, which is the main supplier of animal feed for BAF's farms and associated farms in the Central Highlands region, reducing transportation costs and other logistic costs. Thereby reducing production costs and product prices in the entire closed livestock chain.

Along with the factory in Binh Dinh, BAF also owns two other feed factories operating in Tay Ninh and Nghe An. Both of these factories are operated according to international standards and have achieved the highest certifications for quality management systems in animal feed production, applied worldwide, such as GLOBALG.AP (Global Good Agricultural Practices Certification) and FSSC 22000 (Food Management System Certification).

These certifications require factories to simultaneously meet a strict system of criteria on animal feed production and trading activities, food safety management, nutritional and physical raw material indicators, and the use of environmentally friendly raw materials in animal feed ingredients.

Currently, the bran factory in Binh Dinh is also oriented to operate based on the same standards as the Tay Ninh and Nghe An factories.

In particular, all BAF feed factories produce a special feed formula researched and developed by a team of nutrition experts, which is vegetarian feed.

Vegetarian bran uses 100% of its input ingredients from vegetable protein sources (wheat, soybeans, corn, rice bran...).

The food source is completely free of animal protein, supplemented with vitamins, probiotics... still ensuring nutrition to help pigs grow healthily at each stage, while contributing to improving digestion; significantly reducing emissions from NH3, H2S, NH4 in livestock feces and urine.

Essential step in BAF's expansion strategy

BAF is no longer a stranger in the livestock sector in Vietnam. In early 2023, BAF signed an investment cooperation agreement with the World Finance Corporation (IFC) and many other global financial institutions. In 2024, BAF became a strategic partner of China's largest livestock and food group, Muyuan.

Up to now, BAF continues to receive advice and support from these organizations from green capital to activities in the entire closed chain of Feed - Farm - Food according to international standards.

Through this, together with strong internal resources, BAF continuously raises its medium and long-term goals. Specifically, the company is continuously expanding its farms through self-construction and M&A to reach a herd size of 450,000 sows and 10,000,000 commercial pigs by 2030.

To meet the growing needs of the farm system, BAF needs to expand its network of feed factories, located in convenient locations to promptly meet the needs of farms at optimal costs.

This is also a factor that creates great success for BAF when it has the advantage of competitive raw material sources and is completely self-sufficient in self-produced bran sources. Thereby significantly reducing production costs throughout the chain.

Recently, BAF also shared about the goal of preparing to develop one of the first multi-storey livestock projects in Vietnam - a modern model that helps manage biosecurity for farms, improve livestock efficiency and reduce many other costs such as land area, logistics, labor, environmental treatment... in the context of scarce livestock land and ensuring biosecurity needs to be put first.
