Ho Chi Minh City organizes contest to find good medical station chief

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the 2nd City-level Competition for Excellent Health Station Heads in 2024 has the theme "The role of grassroots health care in primary health care".

The contest is expected to be held in October 2024 with the goal of creating a learning competition movement among the leadership team at medical stations.

Candidates participating in the contest for Excellent Medical Station Heads organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health for the first time in 2022

This is an opportunity for candidates from many units to gather in the same location to exchange and learn experiences from different districts, towns and cities with the goal of improving capacity and knowledge in primary health care for the people.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for health station leaders to update regulations and legal documents, and enhance their sense of responsibility in the field of primary health care for people in Ho Chi Minh City.

The organizing committee of the contest includes leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and functional departments, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), experts who are public health managers, lecturers from the following schools: Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Ho Chi Minh City Public Health Association.

The organizing committee announced a question bank covering the following areas: Overview of primary health care; the role of health stations and family doctors in primary health care; basic health service packages; provision of essential drugs; communication, behavior change counseling; health programs; community health collaborators; application of information technology in primary health care.
