According to the approved investment scale, the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is located on the District 1 side of the bridge at the Ben Bach Dang Park area (about 125m south of Me Linh Square) and on the Thu Duc City side at the Riverside Park area, Thu Thiem New Urban Area (intersection of Nguyen Thien Thanh and N14 streets).

The project has a total route length of about 720m, of which the main span is a 187m long cable-stayed suspension arch, steel beams and cross-sections varying from 6 - 11m.

The bridge is designed with a clearance of 80m across and 10m high, ensuring space for waterway traffic.

On the District 1 side, the approach bridge and the road at the bridgehead are about 239m long. On the Thu Duc City side, the approach bridge and the road at the bridgehead are about 206m long.

In particular, the bridge will be equipped with an artistic lighting system, a roof made of ETFE material, and public utilities such as elevators and escalators to help pedestrians conveniently admire, visit and experience the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River.

The artistic lighting system will bring a modern and sparkling appearance, turning the bridge into an attractive destination, helping to promote tourism and nighttime entertainment activities in Ho Chi Minh City.

The space steel arch structural solution is applied for the first time in Vietnam and is one of the most unique and impressive pedestrian bridges in the world.

Upon completion, the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River will not only be a transportation facility but also a new architectural symbol of the city, a place for residents and visitors to admire the beauty of the city, participate in cultural and artistic events, and will also become a place to connect society and promote tourism.
