Binh Dinh Province was awarded the Third Class Independence Medal.

(BD) - On the morning of March 29, Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), considering the proposal of the Prime Minister, the President issued Decision No. 385/QD-CTN dated March 28, 2025 on awarding the Third Class Independence Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province "For their outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland". This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

According to the provisions of the Law on Emulation and Commendation dated June 15, 2022: “The Third Class Independence Medal is awarded to ministries, departments, branches, provinces, and agencies of the National Assembly on the occasion of the anniversary of their founding, which have achieved many outstanding achievements; have a long tradition; have made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; have internal solidarity; and have clean and strong Party and mass organizations”.

The awarding of the Third Class Independence Medal recognizes the unceasing determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province in building and developing their homeland, creating great joy and encouragement before the 50th Anniversary of Binh Dinh Province Liberation Day, which will be held tomorrow evening (March 30).

In 2024 alone, Binh Dinh province has focused on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions to promote socio-economic development, thanks to which the socio-economic situation of the province continues to achieve many positive and quite comprehensive results in all fields. According to the Provincial People's Committee, most of the targets have been achieved and exceeded the set plan; gross local product (GRDP) increased by 7.78%; ranked 26th out of 63 localities nationwide, 6th out of 14 localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions and 2nd out of 5 localities in the Central Central sub-region.

State budget revenue in the province in 2024 will reach over 16,500 billion VND; disbursement of public investment capital is among the top in the country; cultural, sports and tourism activities will develop strongly and vibrantly, with a series of major, new, international events held for the first time in Vietnam. National defense and security will be maintained; the political system will continue to be consolidated and improved. Social security will be ensured, the lives of people in the province will be basically stable and increasingly improved. Foreign relations and international cooperation will be increasingly strengthened and expanded; the image and position of Binh Dinh province will continue to be enhanced, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of domestic and international friends.
