On the morning of March 28, 2025, the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care in collaboration with the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Oriental Medicine Branch of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care.

People's Physician, Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh presented the appointment decision to the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Oriental Medicine Association, Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care

The establishment of the Oriental Medicine Association of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care is an important event, marking the growth and gradual expansion of the network of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association. Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh affirmed that Oriental medicine is one of the traditional cultural beauties of the Vietnamese people. Oriental medicine prescriptions are passed down from generation to generation, a cultural heritage of thousands of years left by our ancestors. The desire of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association is to bring Vietnamese culture to take care of Vietnamese health. The establishment of the Oriental Medicine Association of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care is to gradually spread the country's oriental medicine into the life and culture of Vietnamese people.

Attending the ceremony to announce the establishment of the Oriental Medicine Association of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care were delegates: People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Vice President of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Pham Thanh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Office of the President; Major General Nguyen Dinh Duoc - Director of the Institute for Human Resources Research.

On behalf of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association, there were: People's Physician, Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh, President of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association; Dr. Tran Xuan Nguyen - Chief of Office of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association.

On the side of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care, there were journalist Le Thi Tuyet Ha, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care; journalist Lai Duc Hong, Permanent Deputy Director, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Oriental Medicine; Ms. Chu Thi Thu Hoai, Deputy Director and Chief of Office of the Institute; Traditional Medicine Practitioner Tran Quang Viet, Deputy Director; Traditional Medicine Practitioner Nguyen Trung Hai, Chairman of the Scientific Council on Community Health Care; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuc, Chairman of the Scientific Council on Community Health Care in the Northern Region; Mr. Bui Hoang Anh, Director of the Center for Community Culture, Tourism and International Cooperation...

Members of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care receive Appointment Decisions

According to Decision No. 10/QD-HDYVN of the President of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association, the Oriental Medicine Association of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care consists of 27 members, including: Traditional Medicine Practitioner Tran Quang Viet holds the position of Branch President; Traditional Medicine Practitioner Hoang Van Toan holds the position of Standing Vice President; and 3 Vice Presidents: Traditional Medicine Practitioner Nguyen Van Tuan, Traditional Medicine Practitioner Dao Quang Lam and Traditional Medicine Practitioner Nguyen Trung Hai. Ms. Chu Thi Thu Hoai is the Secretary of the Association.

On behalf of the Oriental Medicine Association of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care, physician Tran Quang Viet affirmed that the Association will strive to fulfill its assigned tasks, promote the value of Oriental medicine in community health care; collect, preserve and develop traditional remedies and treatment methods, and standardize and widely disseminate them. According to Mr. Viet, Oriental medicine has a lasting vitality alongside the remarkable development of Western medicine, which is a solid foundation to help strengthen the community health care system, and people benefit from the achievements of both Oriental and Western medicine. The achievements of Oriental medicine not only contribute to protecting the health and improving the physical condition of Vietnamese people, but also participate in economic, social and cultural development...

On the same day, the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care awarded the Decision to appoint personnel in the Scientific Council of each field and accepted members of the affiliated Committees. Specifically in the Scientific Council: Venerable Thich Nu Dam Ngoan is the Chairwoman of the Scientific Council on Culture and Community Health Care. Physician Nguyen Trung Hai is the Chairwoman of the Scientific Council on Community Health Care in the Northern Region. Physician Hoang Van Toan is the Vice Chairwoman of the Institute's Scientific Council. Traditional Medicine Physician Vu Cong Chuan is the Vice Chairwoman of the Scientific Council on Community Health Care in the Southern Region.
