The studious student believes that the dynamic learning environment at Duy Tan University has planted the first strong "seed" for him to nurture his dream of becoming a successful hotel and tourism manager. Every day studying at Duy Tan University is a step closer to his dream, an opportunity to explore, learn and conquer new challenges.

" At Duy Tan University, I was guided by lecturers in many skills such as: presenting confidently in front of a crowd, communication skills and conveying information clearly and easily. In addition, presentations about famous landmarks, culture and cuisine of Vietnam and other countries helped me better understand the cultural diversity, customs and practices of ethnic groups and gain insight into the tourism industry. In addition, I also learned about exploiting interesting information about famous tourist destinations, how to organize and operate tours, etc. This knowledge not only helped me visualize more clearly the career of a tour guide but also learned many skills to manage, organize and solve situations in a real environment ," Cong Duy shared.

The process of applying for a Korean Government scholarship for undergraduate studies at Chungbuk National University was not easy for Cong Duy, especially when the scholarship requirements were very strict, requiring:

  • personal essay,
  • English fluency, and
  • Letter of recommendation from school.

In particular, the personal essay and study plan need to clearly express yourself, your dreams and goals for the future.

When he heard that he had received the Korean Government Scholarship, Cong Duy could not hide his joy and emotion: " I am really happy because receiving this scholarship means that I have been able to study in a developed country like Korea. I really look forward to the opportunity to learn, grow and bring valuable knowledge and experience to serve the tourism industry of our country in the future. These are the first steps in the journey to conquer my dream and I will continue to try my best not to disappoint the trust of my family and the lecturers of HTi Tourism School who have always supported and accompanied me ."

Nguyen Thi Hien: A new journey brings great opportunities to experience and study in the Land of "Kimchi"

Currently a 3rd year student majoring in International Tour Guiding (Korean) at the School of Tourism (HTi), Duy Tan University, Nguyen Thi Hien is a girl full of determination, passion and always tries her best on the path she has chosen.

Born and raised in Ha Tinh in a family of 6, Hien always feels the warmth and love from her small home. Thanks to her father's love for foreign languages, the little girl took her first steps on the path of choosing and learning the Korean language.

Nguyen Thi Hien is determined to study to become a Tour Guide with all her enthusiasm.

Nguyen Thi Hien shared: " My father studies Korean every day and it is his passion and love for learning foreign languages that has brought me into a new world, where language is not only a communication tool but also a cultural bridge, a 'key' that opens a wide door, where I can learn and connect with the outside world, helping me broaden my horizons and feel the beauty of different cultures. My father is not only a source of inspiration but also a great motivation for me to dare to dream and persevere in pursuing the path of learning foreign languages. "

With the encouragement and support of her family, Nguyen Thi Hien was determined to study International Tour Guide (Korean) at Duy Tan University with the hope of becoming a good tour guide, and at the same time realizing her dream of setting foot in the Land of "kimchi" to experience many new things, including the unique cuisine and impressive traditional culture of Korea.

The hard-working girl understands that to become an excellent tour guide, not only does she need solid professional knowledge, but she also needs acumen, communication skills and a strong passion for the profession. Starting that journey with all her heart, Hien said: " I always feel that choosing Duy Tan University is a completely correct decision because right at school, I can study with native lecturers to improve my Korean language skills, be equipped with solid professional knowledge about culture and language, and be inspired to be more confident in my future job ."

The Korean Government Scholarship is an important milestone, marking a new turning point in the learning journey of Dang Cong Duy and Nguyen Thi Hien. This is not only a worthy achievement after many efforts, but also a valuable opportunity for Hien to experience an international learning environment, learn more about Korean culture and improve her foreign language skills to access the best job opportunities in the future.
