General Secretary and President To Lam and First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez discussed the relationship between the two Parties and countries in recent times. The two leaders emphasized the similarities between Vietnam and Cuba in terms of history, spirit, path to socialism and the strong relationship that has been built and forged by President Ho Chi Minh and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro over time. The two leaders are determined to continue to strongly develop the traditional solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba to a new level of comprehensiveness, substance, effectiveness and sustainability, in the spirit of working together, cooperating together and developing together... In that spirit, the two leaders agreed to enhance mutual understanding, exchange and coordinate on political and strategic issues, including promoting the effectiveness of visits and exchanges in flexible forms, especially at high levels.

The relationship between the two Parties is the political foundation that guides the strategy for the bilateral relationship. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between the two Parties' advisory bodies and agencies in exchanging and sharing experiences and theories on building socialism and building the Party. The two leaders agreed to coordinate well in organizing the 6th Theoretical Workshop between the two Parties and the 2nd International Scientific Workshop on the revolutionary vision of President Ho Chi Minh and Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro and other cooperative activities. General Secretary and President To Lam and First Secretary and President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez emphasized improving the effectiveness of the Vietnam-Cuba Intergovernmental Committee mechanism and other mechanisms in the fields of defense, security and foreign affairs. General Secretary and President To Lam and First Secretary and President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez agreed to promote and deepen economic cooperation, jointly study new cooperation methods, remove difficulties, and promote the Trade Agreement between the two countries to increase trade turnover to 500 million USD in the next 5 years. The two countries will create necessary conditions for sustainable business activities of Vietnamese enterprises in Cuba, in line with Cuba's policy of attracting investment to develop the economy.

The two leaders supported relevant agencies of both sides to strengthen coordination in studying agricultural production cooperation models to support Cuba in increasing local output and production capacity, developing the agricultural sector, and ensuring food security. The two leaders also agreed to promote and expand cooperation in energy, biotechnology, healthcare, tourism, telecommunications, and construction; and promote local and people-to-people cooperation between the two countries. General Secretary and President To Lam and First Secretary and President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez agreed to continue to actively support and assist each other at international organizations and forums. The two leaders shared the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and development; agreed that international disputes must be resolved by peaceful means, on the basis of respect for international law, the United Nations Charter... General Secretary and President To Lam respectfully invited First Secretary and President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez to visit Vietnam in 2025 on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025) and Vietnam's 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. First Secretary and President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez sincerely thanked and happily accepted the invitation.

At the talks, General Secretary and President To Lam announced that the Party, State and people of Vietnam presented 10,000 tons of rice to the Cuban people; the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam presented 500 computers to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented the Cuban Workers' Center and several Vietnamese localities presented gifts to the Cuban people. Immediately after the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of seven cooperation documents between ministries, sectors and localities of the two countries.
