Today (February 15), the first working day after the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday, at many units of departments, branches, districts and towns of Hanoi, especially at the one-stop shop, the capital's officials, civil servants and public employees are ready to serve the people right from the first working day.

According to the Public Administration Department of Hoai Duc district on February 15, the number of people coming was quite large compared to the same time every year.

On the first working day, although the number of people coming to work was not much, the staff, civil servants and public employees at the administrative agencies of the units strictly followed the duty hours and working hours.

At the district's one-stop shop, from 8am, officers and employees were already at work. At all reception positions, there were people carrying out administrative procedures.

As one of the first citizens in the new year to come to the "one-stop" department of Hoai Duc district to apply for a land use right certificate, Mr. Nguyen The Huong, working at the People's Credit Fund of Hoai Duc district, said: "Before going, I thought that today was the first working day of spring, so I would have to wait a long time, but when I got here, I saw that all the procedures were handled very quickly. Although it was the first day of spring, everyone got to work right away. The staff of the one-stop department were very attentive and enthusiastic in helping, so I was very satisfied."

According to the citizen reception officer of Hoai Duc district, this morning the unit had quite a lot of citizens coming to do transactions, but compared to other days of the year, it was much less crowded. However, all the officers of the one-stop department were present at their work positions. Currently, when people come to the City's Public Administration Service Center to handle administrative procedures, the transaction officer does not require them to present their household registration book but will look it up directly on the newly built population data system to update all personal information.

At the "one-stop" department of Hai Ba Trung district, from 8am, staff were present to serve the people.

Deputy Chief of Office of People's Council and People's Committee, Head of "one-stop" department of District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said that serving at the beginning of the year has become a habit of district civil servants, there is no such thing as leaving their positions, officials work seriously from the beginning of the year. At the same time, District People's Committee continues to implement models and initiatives, helping to save costs and travel time for people, helping to quickly handle administrative records.

Speaking to Tien Phong reporter, a representative of Hanoi Department of Home Affairs said that in 2024, the Department of Home Affairs will not organize a public service inspection team but will authorize districts to establish their own public service inspection teams. At the same time, the Department has proposed 9 key groups of solutions associated with strong innovation in direction and management, including a group of solutions on inspection and examination.

In Nguyen Du Ward (Hai Ba Trung District), ward leaders asked staff to arrive at work 15 minutes early to prepare for the first working day of the new year. Chairman of Nguyen Du Ward People's Committee Duong Minh Duc arrived early at the "one-stop" department to wish civil servants a happy new year, and reminded staff to strictly follow the regulations and be ready to receive and handle procedures for citizens.
