The Farmers' Association of Cao Xa Commune, Lam Thao District currently has over 1,750 members operating in 15 branches. In order to make the Movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" effective, in recent years, the Farmers' Association of the commune has implemented many practical activities and tasks that attract a large number of members to participate. Thereby, creating motivation to help farmers enthusiastically compete in labor and production, boldly transform the agricultural economic structure, apply science and technology to production, contributing to local economic development.

Mr. Do Truong Tho - Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association said: Identifying the movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably as one of the key tasks, the Commune Farmers' Association has closely followed the grassroots, grasped the thoughts and aspirations, built economic development models; helped members and farmers access science and technology, good models, new ways of doing things to learn production experience. In addition, the Association also focuses on propaganda, mobilizing members and farmers to expand production, business, services... contributing to economic development, helping members and farmers stabilize their lives.
In 2024, the whole commune had 1,255 households registered for good production and business at all levels, resulting in 820 households achieving the title. Through the movement, many farmers have dared to think, dare to do, explore, learn, put into testing, and replicate new types of plants and animals, contributing to diversifying production, developing new industries and services in the rural economy such as: The semi-automatic chicken farming model of Mr. Cao Tien Cong's family in Zone 1; the packaging sewing company of Mr. Nhu Thanh Tung's family in Zone 13; the bamboo rat farming model of Mr. Dang Thanh Tin's family in Zone 13; Hoa Lua LLC of Mr. Cao Trung Thong..., which has brought high income, creating stable jobs for many local workers.
Typically, Mr. Dang Thanh Tin in Zone 13 has boldly sought a new direction in developing his family's economy. He has invested in and built barns to raise more than 60 pairs of breeding rats. Thanks to proper care, his rats have developed and reproduced well, generating an income of nearly 200 million VND/year. Or like Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh with her potato growing model, thanks to participating in training courses on cultivation and pest control techniques, Ms. Binh's potato growing model has an area of more than 9 sao, generating an income of 31 million VND/crop.
In order for farmers to effectively carry out the movement of good production and business, the Commune Farmers' Association has also coordinated to organize short-term vocational training courses to improve scientific and technical knowledge for members and farmers in the fields of: Cultivation, animal husbandry, plant protection... attracting hundreds of members to participate. The Association also provided 5 tons of Supe Lam Thao fertilizer with delayed payment to farmers; coordinated with the Agricultural Service Cooperative to provide over 68,000 tons of fertilizer with immediate and delayed payment, 1 ton of potatoes, 3.5 tons of various types of rice, over 25,000 packages and bottles of various types of plant protection drugs and 2 agricultural land preparation machines. Coordinated with the Commune People's Committee to establish the Cao Xa Green Agricultural Cooperative specializing in safe vegetable production and linking production to consume products for farmers with an area of over 20 hectares. The Association has well managed the capital entrusted by the Social Policy Bank with over 6.3 billion VND for over 148 households to borrow; disbursed 100 million VND from the district's farmer support fund to 2 households to borrow for economic development. Thanks to that, each year the Association helps 1-2 member households escape poverty.
Through the Movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", it has aroused the spirit of hard work and creativity among members, thereby contributing significantly to the construction of new, improved rural areas, socio-economic development, and improving people's lives.
