According to information from Ha Giang Provincial Police, at 8:00 a.m. this morning (October 2), after 4 days of searching, rescue forces found the body of Mr. NVT buried in a landslide at Km51+200 of National Highway 2.

Currently, the authorities of Ha Giang province have identified 5 victims who died in the landslide, including: MTT (10 years old), TTH (53 years old), T.D.D. (30 years old), PAT (32 years old) and NVT.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Vinh Commune, said that the rescue team is continuing to search for Ms. VTX (54 years old), the victim who was swept away by floodwaters in the landslide area, and is also supporting households with houses in areas at risk of landslides to move their belongings to a safe place.

Previously, at around 9:00 a.m. on September 29, a serious landslide occurred at km51+200 of National Highway 2, through Viet Vinh commune.

Statistics from Ha Giang Provincial Police show that more than 3,000 cubic meters of rock and soil from the positive slope slid down to the residential area, collapsing 3 houses. Rock and soil spilled onto the road, burying 5 cars (1 passenger car, 1 truck and 3 cars).
