At the exhibition space, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of familiar locations such as: Opera House, August Revolution Square, Ba Dinh Square, Hoa Lo Prison, Hanoi Flag Tower, Dong Xuan Market, Long Bien Bridge, Bach Mai Hospital... The exhibition space is a combination of soft, curvy details, creating a seamless image of the heritage road. The design harmoniously combines two main colors: blue and yellow; in which blue symbolizes the present, hope, creativity; yellow symbolizes the past, history.

In particular, Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Central Prison) is also an important historical witness in the capital before becoming a unique tourist destination as it is today. This relic was built by the French colonial government in 1896 - 1899 to detain Vietnamese patriots and revolutionaries. In 1946, when they returned to invade, the French colonialists reoccupied Hoa Lo Prison. In 1954, the Vietnam People's Army took over this place. During the period 1964 - 1973, the prison was used to detain American pilots captured when bombing northern Vietnam. In 1997, the remaining part (2,434m2) of the prison was ranked as a national historical relic. Currently, Hoa Lo Prison Relic is a place to educate the Vietnamese people about the tradition of patriotism and revolution, an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
