On October 18, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Kim Son district organized the 2nd Voluntary Blood Donation Festival in 2023 with the message "Every drop of blood given, a life remains".
Officials, civil servants, public employees, union members, youth, and workers of agencies, units, and enterprises in the district participated in donating blood at the Festival.
The voluntary blood donation festival attracted a large number of volunteers to attend.
Volunteers were present early to complete registration procedures, get tested and donate blood. The participants of this voluntary blood donation program were mainly officials, civil servants, union members, youth, and employees of agencies, units, and enterprises in the district.
At the end of the blood donation session, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital received 641 units of blood from blood donations of volunteers.
Thus, from the beginning of 2023 until now, Kim Son district has successfully organized 2 voluntary blood donation campaigns, along with participating in sudden blood donation sessions launched by the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee. The total number of donated blood units in Kim Son district is 1,256 units, reaching 109% of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.
This precious source of donated blood is promptly added to the blood reserves of medical facilities in the province and some central hospitals to perform treatment, emergency care, and bring life to patients.
