On the afternoon of March 20, U22 Vietnam began its journey at the CFA Team China 2025 international friendly tournament with a match against U22 Korea.
Facing a highly rated opponent, U22 Vietnam chose to play solidly on their home field and wait for the opportunity to counterattack.
In the 20th minute, from a quick counter-attack, Thanh Nhan unleashed a powerful shot that forced the U22 Korean goalkeeper to fly and push the ball away. Immediately after, Quoc Viet rushed in to score the rebound. Unfortunately, Quoc Viet was already offside.
A few minutes later, Thanh Nhan had another powerful kick that the Korean U22 goalkeeper struggled to block.
On the other side of the field, U22 Korea created a better game and had some good opportunities but could not take advantage.
After the break, the Korean team continued to increase pressure with the goal of finding a goal to break the deadlock.

After conceding a goal, U22 Korea started to send more attacking players in with the goal of finding an equalizer.
Meanwhile, U22 Vietnam proactively pulled the squad down low and made U22 Korea stuck in approaching Cao Van Binh's goal.
After much effort, in the 90+1 minute, U22 Korea found the equalizer thanks to Jeong Jae-sang.
In the end, the match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Korea at the CFA Team China 2025 international friendly tournament ended with a 1-1 draw.
