Sharing with the media after officially becoming a Vietnamese citizen, Quang Vinh emotionally said: “My family and I are extremely proud that I officially became Vietnamese. My mother called me while I was practicing with the CAHN Club. After that, I called her back, and my mother almost burst into tears.”
Joining CAHN Club from the beginning of the 2024/2025 season, Quang Vinh quickly affirmed his talent. Possessing Vietnamese blood from his mother, the defender born in 1997 received support from the club's leadership to complete legal procedures, with the hope of being able to join the Vietnam National Team.
Looking back on the time waiting for citizenship, the 28-year-old player shared: “I was extremely excited during the waiting time. It was a long time for me. When the process of applying for Vietnamese citizenship was officially completed, I was really happy.”
Quang Vinh also said that he always tries to integrate into life in Vietnam: “I attend three Vietnamese classes a week and study on my own through an application on my phone. My Vietnamese is gradually improving every day. I love Vietnam, where I live and am attached to. Vietnamese people are very kind and hospitable. My family also especially loves the cuisine and scenic spots here.”
Maintaining his determination from the first days of returning to his homeland, Quang Vinh affirmed: “I have officially become a Vietnamese citizen. This is a great source of motivation for me to continue my efforts on the field. I will devote myself, show my best performance to prove my ability, aiming for the goal of being called up to the Vietnam National Team.”
