Promoting tourism growth through international cooperation

DNO - Within the framework of the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025, on the morning of January 17, at the Ariyana International Convention Palace, the Department of Tourism organized a workshop on international cooperation to promote tourism development in friendship cities. This is an opportunity for the tourism industry to strengthen international cooperation, promote tourism development exchanges and expand comprehensive cooperation.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong emphasized that the city is committed to continuing to create all favorable conditions, promoting strengths in cooperation with sister cities and international partners, promoting tourism development exchanges and expanding comprehensive cooperation.

“We believe that through international cooperation, we have the opportunity to expand investment, develop unique tourism products, improve service quality and enhance the experience for tourists. This cooperation will also contribute to enhancing the international integration capacity of the tourism industry, promoting cultural exchange, creating opportunities for exchange and learning and developing sustainable relationships,” the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

Within the framework of the workshop, international representatives including Mr. Tom Tate, Mayor of Gold Coast City (Australia), Mr. Watanabe Yoshikuni, Mayor of Kisarazu City (Japan), and representatives from Wuxi and Yancheng cities (Jiangsu, China) shared information on the tourism potential of the cities; at the same time, discussed new directions in promoting tourism cooperation between Da Nang and international partners.

In recent years, cooperation has been one of the important tasks that the Da Nang tourism industry has focused on implementing to expand the market, promote flights, promote destinations, share information and experience in managing tourism activities.

In the field of tourism development cooperation, Da Nang has signed cooperation agreements with 16 cities of countries such as Cambodia, Korea, the United States, China, Finland, Russia, Romania, Australia, Japan and Thailand... as well as cooperation with airlines and international tourism businesses.

Based on the principle of bilateral cooperation, support and mutual benefit, international cooperation programs contribute to promoting the image of the destination, enhancing the position of Da Nang on the world tourism map; at the same time, opening up opportunities for exchange and connection to attract international visitors and enhance the exchange of visitor sources.

Cooperation activities focus on promoting tourism in key markets such as Korea, Japan, China, India, Australia and Southeast Asia, through organizing promotional programs, famtrips, presstrips, participating in international tourism fairs and implementing digital media campaigns.
