On the evening of October 12, Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The visit takes place at a time of special significance for bilateral relations, as the two countries look towards the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and right after important visits by high-ranking leaders of both sides.
At Noi Bai International Airport, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang gave a speech expressing his joy at his official visit to Vietnam with a friendship of "both comrades and brothers".

"I would like to extend sincere greetings and best wishes from the Chinese people to the Vietnamese people. China and Vietnam are linked by mountains and rivers, have close cultural and humanistic ties, and have a long-standing traditional friendship.
In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Vietnam relations have developed steadily, the good neighborly friendship has continued to be consolidated, and mutually beneficial cooperation has deepened," said Premier Li Qiang.
According to Prime Minister Li Qiang, at the end of last year, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Vietnam. The relationship between the two countries entered a new era of building a Community of Shared Future of strategic significance, the people of the two countries are more closely connected, closer together and side by side moving forward on the path of modernization of each country.
He said that since the beginning of this year, Vietnam and China have maintained close high-level exchanges and achieved many good cooperation results in many fields. The construction of the Community of Shared Future between the two countries has had a good start.
According to Prime Minister Li Qiang, during the recent visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping had a meeting with senior Vietnamese leaders to outline a strategy to comprehensively promote the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future in the new situation, while also providing clearer directions for the development of bilateral relations.
He emphasized that in the context of a rapidly changing world and increasing global risks and challenges, as companions on the path to building socialism, Vietnam and China need to unite and cooperate more closely to promote peace and develop together.
"China always considers Vietnam a priority in its neighboring diplomacy. During this visit, I hope to have in-depth exchanges with Vietnamese leaders on implementing important common perceptions reached by senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries," said Prime Minister Li Qiang.
He also said that China and Vietnam will work together to promote traditional friendship, enhance strategic exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and consolidate the foundation of friendship between the two peoples.
At the same time, promoting the building of a Community of Shared Future between China and Vietnam continues to be substantive, bringing many practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability and prosperous development of the region and the world.
