ANTD.VN - The Prime Minister requested the State Bank to implement synchronous and drastic solutions to reduce interest rates and increase credit access for people and businesses.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Document 687/TTg-KTTH dated July 27, 2023 on solutions to improve businesses' access to credit.
Accordingly, in order to continue to resolutely, promptly and effectively implement solutions to improve access to credit, reduce lending interest rates, and rectify insurance business activities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the State Bank of Vietnam to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies: Continue to resolutely, effectively and promptly implement the tasks and solutions in Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 6, 2023 of the Government, Resolution No. 97/NQ-CP dated July 8, 2023, relevant Resolutions of the Government, directive documents of Government leaders and legal regulations.
Thereby, to operate monetary policy proactively, promptly, flexibly, in accordance with the practical situation, effectively, in a synchronous, close and harmonious coordination with a reasonable, focused, key, effective, quick and decisive expansionary fiscal policy to prioritize removing difficulties for production and business, promoting growth associated with macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances of the economy; implementing synchronous and drastic solutions to reduce interest rates, especially reducing lending interest rates.

At the same time, urgently inspect, examine and supervise commercial banks in credit granting activities, review all procedures and conditions for credit granting and have drastic, strong, timely, substantive and effective solutions to quickly increase access to credit for businesses and people, improve the economy's ability to absorb capital, ensure the safe operations of credit institutions, to be completed by July 2023.
The Prime Minister requested the State Bank of Vietnam to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently develop feasible and effective solutions to accelerate the implementation of the VND40 trillion interest rate support credit package and VND120 trillion social housing loans. Review favorable, controllable and effective lending conditions.
Urgently inspect, examine and supervise the implementation of regulations on debt restructuring and maintaining debt groups of credit institutions to promptly have solutions to promote effective and proper implementation, support businesses to quickly reduce immediate difficulties, restore production and business activities, and complete in July 2023.
Check and supervise insurance service provision activities
The Prime Minister also requested the State Bank to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance in inspecting, examining and supervising the provision of insurance services and the sale of insurance through banks.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with the State Bank and relevant agencies to urgently inspect, examine and supervise the provision of insurance services, the sale of insurance through banks and the operations of insurance companies to promptly identify and clarify whether there are signs of violations, fraudulent, deceptive or illegal acts, in order to have a basis for strict handling in accordance with legal regulations and timely and effective corrective solutions, to be completed in July 2023.
