Prime Minister approves investment policy for Cam Lam New Urban Area project

On March 25, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the investment policy of the Cam Lam New Urban Area project.

Accordingly, the Cam Lam New Urban Area project has a land use scale of 10,356.5 hectares in Cam Lam district and Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province. The population is about 584,364 people with the number of houses including 58,576 villas, townhouses; 9,821 apartments; 58,574 plots of land for villas, townhouses; 33,052 social housing units and a 36-hole golf course.

The total preliminary investment of the project is about 260,267 billion VND (excluding compensation and resettlement support costs of about 25,000 billion VND). The project's operating period is 50 years from the date of land allocation decision, land lease decision, and land use purpose change decision. The project implementation progress is from 2025 to 2037. The project will conduct bidding to select investors.

According to the above decision, the objective of the Cam Lam New Urban Area project is to develop a new complex urban center with the characteristics of a regional mixed-use center in Cam Duc town linked to the urban center axis.

This will also be the administrative - political center of the entire urban area; the financial - commercial - service center, international cultural exchange; the regional training, research and innovation center; the residential area and main activities of the entire urban area.

Cam Lam new urban area is the western gateway - the main gateway of Cam Lam new urban area; is the center of culture - sports, health care, education, trade - urban and industrial services; is the urban development area - concentrated residential area...

The project's objective is also to invest in developing new modern urban areas with public works and services for urban areas (schools, medical stations, markets, shopping centers, etc.); urban parks and green trees; resort service works, golf courses, thematic parks, including investing in the construction of housing products, construction works for sale, lease, lease-purchase and business according to the provisions of law.
