Thu Quynh was born in 1988 in Hanoi, in a family with an artistic tradition. Her father is a dancer, her mother is an actress of the Army Drama Troupe.

After graduating from Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, Thu Quynh worked at the Youth Theatre. She was highly appreciated by the public for her acting.

Thu Quynh left a strong impression on the audience through many roles in TV series: My Soi of Quynh Doll , Hue in Ve Nha Di Con (in 2019, Thu Quynh won the Best Actress award at the 39th National Television Festival for this role), Khanh Thy in Huong Vi Tinh Than, An Nguyet in Hanh Trinh Cong Ly and recently Phuong in the movie Cuoc Chien Khong Tien .

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter about her new role, Thu Quynh said that in The War Without Borders, she plays Lang Phuong - a person who studied nursing in the lowlands to serve the village.

"In the film, Phuong's father died and was convicted of drug trafficking. Phuong's character follows a journey to find the cause of her father's death.

When filming the scenes in the film, my crew and I always try our best to bring fast-paced, dramatic, and attractive footage to the audience. When filming, we have scenes in the mountains, so the actors spent long days in Son La to film," Thu Quynh said.

Talking about filming in Moc Chau, Son La, Thu Quynh said that the film was filmed during the rainy season, so the whole crew encountered many difficulties such as moving machinery and personnel to the highlands. Due to the nature of their work, the crew members had to constantly travel long distances to Hanoi at different times.

She said: "If you don't go there, it's hard to imagine how tiring it is to make a film. In the first two or three weeks, the crew could only film a few scenes each day. There were even days when we brought the camera out to film but had to bring it back because of bad weather.

When going deep into the villages, I was quite surprised by the current life of the people here. These are places without lights, without clean water, life is extremely difficult but they are still optimistic every day. We asked permission from local officers and soldiers to film some scenes, customs, and life of the people."

The actress born in 1988 shared that when filming with Viet Anh and Ha Viet Dung, she felt familiar and not pressured because she had worked with her colleagues many times. In the highlands, there was no signal, so when not filming, she and her colleagues had more time to talk to each other.

"There were days when we had to stop filming because it rained a lot. We sat and talked to each other more intimately because our phones had no signal, and there was no 3G or 4G to access the internet. Anh Viet Anh and Ha Viet Dung were also very comfortable and easy-going, always creating a happy atmosphere for the crew. We also sang to each other," Thu Quynh confided.

The actress added that when she was away on long-term tours, her parents supported her a lot in taking care of her son. "Luckily, my grandparents live nearby so they often help take care of my son if I'm busy or away on a shoot. Even though my mother and I live separately, we still often visit my grandparents' house. Without my parents, I don't know how I would manage my son's school schedule...", she shared.

When asked about love, Thu Quynh said that she is currently single but always believes in the word "fate" in love.

"If I meet someone suitable, I think I will still love them, but I will "slow down" to get to know them longer. When in love, I am also very picky. It is difficult to love and difficult to please, but if someone is sincere with me, I will be able to do it," Thu Quynh confided.

Thu Quynh said that her current life is like that of a girl in her twenties: getting to know someone, dating them, and being excited when she realizes she has feelings for someone.

"If you think positively, divorce gives women the opportunity to relive their youth once again. There will be times when you find yourself hard to be moved, your emotions will become numb, but who knows, one day, you might fall in love at first sight.

Who says love at first sight only happens to young people? A single mother in her late 40s can also dream of such a romantic relationship," the actress said.
