Attracting tourists to Binh Dinh by train
Binh Dinh is becoming a new destination. To increase the attraction of tourists to the land of martial arts, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is making efforts to diversify with many means of transportation, especially trains.

Binh Dinh has a convenient transportation advantage located in the center of the North-South axis on all three routes: road, rail and air. Regarding railway, Binh Dinh has Dieu Tri station and Quy Nhon station operating passenger transport in the Vietnam railway system.
In 2025, Binh Dinh strives to welcome 10 million visitors. Therefore, it is necessary to build and diversify tourism products to attract visitors to the land of Vo by different means, including trains, especially visitors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Central region.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “During the New Year of 2025 and the Lunar New Year of At Ty, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized receptions for tourists traveling by train to Binh Dinh to promote tourism. Thereby, creating more tourism products by train, contributing to attracting more and more domestic and international tourists to Binh Dinh”.
Many tourists said that choosing to travel by train not only meets their travel needs but also allows them to experience the scenery along the railway line. Choosing the coastal city of Quy Nhon as an experience destination earlier this year, Ms. Melanie Kammer (a tourist from Germany) shared: “My family came to Vietnam for tourism and chose the train as a means of transportation. We traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan province) and then to Quy Nhon. The most impressive thing when coming to Quy Nhon is the fresh air, beautiful beaches, and rich cuisine.”
Getting off at Dieu Tri station, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, was very impressed with the warm welcome of Binh Dinh people. Mr. Vinh said: “Not only was I welcomed warmly and warmly, I was also advised and introduced to destinations in Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh. I know Quy Nhon is a very beautiful “sea paradise”, and now I feel that the people here are very friendly. This summer I will bring my family back to Quy Nhon for tourism”.

According to representatives of many tourism companies, attracting tourists to Binh Dinh by train is gradually becoming a trend. Because it will save more money than by plane and is safer than self-driving vehicles, and you can comfortably enjoy the natural scenery of all parts of Vietnam while on the train. Not only tourists but also tourism companies when designing tours also prioritize increasing the experience for tourists when choosing to travel by train, especially foreign tourists.
Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Sen, Director of Vietravel Binh Dinh Branch, said: “Vietravel has effectively exploited for tourists to explore nature, cuisine, and cultural identity on the heritage train running from Hue City to Da Nang City. We also came up with the idea to create more train tourism products connecting the railway from Da Nang City - Quy Nhon City - Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa Province); in which, we will introduce the cultural heritage and cuisine of Binh Dinh on the train from Dieu Tri Station to Quy Nhon Station”.
It is expected that from March 28 to 31, Binh Dinh province will organize free charter trains/carriages (renting the entire trip, entire train car) to transport tourists from Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh, to promote the image of Binh Dinh land and people, contributing to attracting tourists to the province by rail.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung added: This is one of the activities in a series of events organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh Province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025). In addition, the province will also organize many other attractive cultural and tourism events, such as: Investment promotion conference with the participation of many large domestic and foreign investors; discussion with typical businessmen and intellectuals from Binh Dinh; epic art program elaborately and uniquely staged with high-altitude fireworks display... to promote the Binh Dinh tourism brand, contribute to stimulating tourism, attracting tourists and investors to Binh Dinh.
