The competition was attended by 12 teams with nearly 300 female officers and members from 30 agencies and units in the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. With the theme "Dynamic, brave and intelligent union officers", the teams competed in 3 sections: Knowledge, propaganda and talent.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Colonel Bui Tuan Quynh, Deputy Chief of Political Department of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized: In recent years, with the attention, leadership and close direction of the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Chief of the General Staff, Party committees and commanders at all levels; the guidance and direction of the superior professional agencies, directly the Political Department, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, women's work and the women's movement of the General Staff have developed strongly.

Cadres and members always promote the good qualities, confidence, self-respect, loyalty and responsibility of Military Women in the new period, creating a good and widespread impression, increasingly affirming the position, role and important contributions of the women's force in the strategic staff agency, contributing to building a strong and clean Party organization, a comprehensively strong agency and unit that is "exemplary and typical".

The 2023 Competition for Excellent Women's Union Cadres of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army has practical significance in improving the qualifications, awareness, methods, and skills of union work; it is an opportunity for female cadres and members to exchange, learn, and introduce good and effective models in organizing and implementing women's union activities and women's emulation movements.
