Vietnamese people hang the national flag on their roofs: Spreading beautiful images and pride on National Day The trend of decorating 'every roof into a national flag' of Vietnamese people

In the atmosphere of celebrating the August Revolution and National Day September 2, every street in Hanoi has been decorated with flags and flowers. In many localities, not only are flags hung, but a very meaningful trend is emerging, which is painting the national flag on roofs and walls.

In particular, many videos following the trend of drawing the national flag on the roof are being continuously posted on social networks by many personal accounts, receiving the response of many people. This meaningful trend seems to be contributing to "lighting up" patriotism and national pride in each citizen.

However, in addition to images of national flags spreading positive messages, there have also been many images and videos of national flags "following the trend" that are not true and have been requested to be removed by authorities on social networks, such as the photoshopping of a series of roofs and agencies with national flags in Quan Lao town, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province.

Or, the incident of a resident in Yet Kieu ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, who painted the national flag on the wall of his house but was later asked to remove it. According to the explanation of local authorities, this request was to ensure compliance with legal regulations on the size, form, and image of the national flag as well as to ensure the management, use, and preservation of the image of the national flag in accordance with regulations.

The flag is a symbol of the nation, a symbol of the soul of the country, of the people, and the pride of the entire nation. The red flag with a yellow star of Vietnam is closely associated with the years of steadfast struggle of the previous generation. With such great significance, on major national holidays, the hanging of the national flag is always carried out by the army and people in all regions of the country and has become a unique cultural feature of the Vietnamese people.

For the Vietnamese people, when looking at the national flag fluttering in the wind, under the blue sky, their hearts are always filled with pride before the symbol of indomitable will and patriotism; at the same time, any citizen feels proud and grateful for the heroic sacrifices of generations of fathers and grandfathers for independence, building, protecting and developing the country.

The red flag with yellow star, therefore, over time has been deeply engraved in the hearts of every Vietnamese person and has been recognized and respected by the international community.

With the meaning and value of that symbol, the law has specific regulations on making and hanging the national flag in Article 13 of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Instruction No. 3420/HD-BVHTTDL dated October 2, 2012 on the use of the National Flag, National Emblem, National Anthem, and portrait of President Ho Chi Minh.

In addition, the law also has specific prohibitions such as: Using the national flag that does not comply with regulations on size and shape. Using a faded, torn, or punctured national flag. Planting the national flag on sidewalks and walkways. Hanging the flag in hidden, dark places. Hanging the flag under signs, billboards of food service businesses, motels, businesses, bars. Hanging the flag under unsightly objects such as: curtains, sunshades, dust covers, clothesline poles, etc.

Therefore, making flags, hanging flags or responding to the trend of painting the national flag on roofs and walls during major national holidays will be more meaningful when each citizen pays attention to and complies with the provisions of the law, avoiding others having a bad, offensive view of the image of the national flag.

When complying with the provisions of the law on the National Flag, responding to the movement of painting the national flag on the roof will be more meaningful, thereby multiplying and spreading beautiful actions and images of patriotism and national solidarity in the community.

Hopefully, the image of the national flag - the sacred symbol of the nation - will always "burn" in the hearts of every Vietnamese person and be expressed with the utmost solemnity and dignity!
