The streets of Da Nang are filled with the red color of national flags, banners, and slogans celebrating the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025). The jubilant and bustling atmosphere is present on every street corner, from main roads such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Nguyen Van Linh to residential areas, markets, and parks.

On every street and alley, the national flag flutters bright red. People are proud to live in a livable city.

Dien Bien Phu, 2/9, Bach Dang, Kinh Duong Vuong streets... were ablaze with flags on the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation.

In 1997, when the province was divided, Da Nang had only nearly 100 roads. Up to now, the city has more than 2,300 roads with a total length of more than 1,300 km.

Da Nang residents enthusiastically participated in commemorative activities, from parades, historical exhibitions to grand cultural and artistic programs. The red flags with yellow stars fluttering in the wind reminded of a heroic journey, when the city was liberated, opening a period of peace and prosperous development.

On every holiday or Tet, not only are the main roads lined with flags and flowers, but in each residential area and small alley, people also take the initiative to hang flags and decorate the roads. For the people, the flag is not only the pride of the nation, the pride of independence and freedom, but also the motivation to encourage each person to live and contribute to the homeland.

The city is also known as the land of bridges. Visitors to Da Nang cannot miss the fire-breathing Dragon Bridge, the Han River Bridge that rotates at midnight, the Thuan Phuoc cable-stayed bridge, and the Tran Thi Ly Bridge.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (35 years old) shared that whenever mentioning her hometown Da Nang, she always feels proud. “My friends often praise Da Nang as a civilized, modern, clean and beautiful city with impressive landscapes. The people here are also very friendly, creating a good impression on tourists. On the occasion of the city's liberation day, I took my children to participate in class activities and to the exhibition so that they could better understand the country's history,” she said.

Red flags with yellow stars flutter along the main streets of Da Nang City, creating a jubilant, bustling atmosphere.

Da Nang today is not only a modern, dynamic city but also a symbol of strong will and strong development, worthy of the title "Worth living city" of Vietnam.
