After a 1-0 victory over the University of Technical Education - University of Danang in the opening match, coach Dong Trieu and his team continued to play strongly, making the Hue University team struggle to earn 1 point.
FPT Polytechnic College team is only one match away from a ticket to the national finals, but will have to overcome the "rock" named Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports. Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports team, in its first participation in the tournament in 2024, won a ticket to the finals. In this year's tournament, the sports team, despite a loss of strength, is still considered a strong candidate for the position of representing the Central Coast region to compete in Ho Chi Minh City.

The match between FPT Polytechnic College and Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports will be a fierce battle, as these two teams are currently considered the most formidable in the qualifying round of the Central Coast region. "For us, every match is a final. The play-off match only lasts 80 minutes, and is a knockout match. Therefore, the opportunity is divided equally between the two teams. Myself and the players all want to play in the final round. To do that, we must be determined," said coach Dong Trieu.
On the other hand, the head coach of the Da Nang University of Sports - Tran Trung Kien commented: "We have completed our first goal of reaching the play-off round. Now, the Da Nang University of Sports team will aim to win a place in the final round, which we did last season. However, entering the play-off match will be much more difficult. The most important thing I want is that the players of the Da Nang University of Sports will maintain stability in their competitive mentality."
