This is one of the contents that Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, spoke at the Consultation Workshop on strategic orientation to support women in starting a business in the period 2026-2035 organized by the Vietnam Women's Union on December 1 in Hanoi.
The project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period 2017 - 2025" (Project 939) assigned by the Government to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to preside over and is about to enter its final phase in 2025.
Over the past time, with the efforts of all levels of the Union, the enthusiastic support and responsibility of the Ministries, departments, branches and sectors, the activities implemented according to the tasks and solutions of the Project have achieved certain achievements. Based on the achieved results, the Vietnam Women's Union organized a workshop to consult experts on the orientation, goals, tasks and solutions to support women in starting a business in the period of 2026-2035, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
At the workshop, Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, proposed that the subjects of the new phase of the Project should include young women and new graduates aged 18-30 who have aspirations to start a business nationwide. Mr. Mac Quoc Anh also proposed considering supporting subjects such as Universities, Research Institutes, and international partners to have specialized training programs on entrepreneurship.

Regarding the vision of the project, according to Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, it should be divided into 2 phases, phase 2026-2030, focusing on accompanying and supporting activities; phase 2031-2035, focusing on replicating the model, accessing domestic and international markets, and providing financial support for women-owned startups. In addition, there should also be activities to evaluate the effectiveness of the startup model with specific revenue indicators.
Regarding the tasks and solutions, Mr. Mac Quoc Anh suggested 4 important tasks and solutions that need to be focused on in the coming period. First, establish a Project Board from the central to local levels and possibly invite research experts from non-governmental organizations to participate. Second, develop a network of advisors. Third, expand domestic and international consumption markets so that women entrepreneurs can connect to consume products, create profits and revenue. Fourth, increase legal and policy support, solve capital issues, and training policies on skills for women entrepreneurs.
On the morning of December 3, 2024, the Vietnam Women's Union organized a consultation workshop on strategic orientations to support women in starting businesses for the period 2026-2035 to identify goals, tasks and solutions to support women in starting businesses to meet the requirements in the new situation.
The workshop was attended by representatives of ministries, branches, experts, startup consultants, organizations and units accompanying the Vietnam Women's Union, women entrepreneurs and representatives of the Women's Union at all levels.
The valuable information and useful sharing of the workshop will be an important basis for the Vietnam Women's Union to continue researching and adjusting solutions and activities to support and promote women's startups in an increasingly innovative and creative direction, keeping up with the strong development of science and technology, digital transformation, green transformation, and sustainable development of the country.
