Up to now, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has received more than 31 billion VND through the “For the Poor” Fund. In the first phase, the Provincial Fatherland Front has provided support funds for 353/358 poor and near-poor households approved. Up to now, 183 households have completed housing construction but have not received financial support, of which 69 households are building new houses and 114 households are repairing.

The province has started construction and repair of 1,088 houses for poor and near-poor households, with 536 houses completed. The remaining houses are under construction and repair. It is expected that about 590 households no longer need to build, including 246 newly built households and 344 repaired households. In March 2025, it is expected that construction and repair of 428 households will start with a budget of about 93.6 billion VND.

In addition, the province also recorded 866 households of people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives who need to build new or repair houses, with a total estimated support budget of over 65 billion VND from the central and local budgets. To date, the province has started to build and repair 419 houses, of which 92 have been completed. In March 2025, construction and repair will begin for the remaining 311 households.

The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households and people with meritorious services has also achieved many positive results. However, there are still some shortcomings and limitations. Some departments, branches and localities have not really closely followed the implementation, and many places have not proactively resolved difficulties and obstacles in a timely manner.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, requested that units need to identify this as a key political task of 2025, which needs to be implemented resolutely and ensure completion on schedule before June 30, 2025.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to do a good job of propaganda on mass media to create high unity in the political system and consensus from all walks of life, people, businesses and philanthropists. Timely commendation of localities that have done well and pointing out units that have not proactively resolved difficulties is also very important.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that departments, branches and localities need to regularly monitor the situation and promptly resolve any arising problems to speed up the project implementation progress. Clarifying specific cases in the list of households that have been approved for support to build new houses or repair houses but no longer need them should also be done to remove difficulties for these households.

The Provincial Party Committee urgently directed the review and compilation of a list of beneficiaries eligible for support according to Decision No. 55/QD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction before March 25, 2025. In the process of implementing the projects, it is necessary to ensure the right beneficiaries, the right purposes, the right regulations and not to take advantage of the policy, while ensuring democracy, publicity and transparency.
