On October 26, the kickboxing and Muay Thai martial arts event called Grand Strikeforce Vol 1: Full Impact will take place in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The event includes 8 matches, with 16 fighters from countries with famous martial arts such as Thailand, Australia, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan. The host country Vietnam has 3 fighters competing: Nguyen Doan Long, Kieu Duy Quan and Hoang Dinh Manh.
The match that promises to be very exciting is the competition between Nguyen Doan Long and Deren Chen in the 67 kg weight class. Doan Long is one of the prominent names in Muay Thai in Vietnam. He once impressed with the title of world runner-up in 2018 and 2 silver medals at SEA Games 30 and 31. Meanwhile, Deren Chen, who is of Australian and Chinese descent, has had 21 wins in 30 professional matches.
Vietnam's kickboxing talent Kieu Duy Quan (2 wins, 10 losses) will face Taiwanese boxer Ping Yun Deng (12 wins, 6 losses, 4 knockouts) in the 75 kg weight class.
The remaining Vietnamese representative, Hoang Dinh Manh (18-year-old talent who won the silver medal at the 2024 U.23 Muay Thai World Championships), will compete with 20-year-old Australian boxer Dassakorn Saton (4 wins in all matches) in the 65 kg weight class.
In the highlight match, famous Thai boxer Saksurin (with 175 wins after 232 professional fights) will face tough Australian opponent Louis Abbot (15 wins, 6 losses) in the 82 kg weight class.
Famous Japanese shootboxing "warrior" Nakamura Akari (20 wins, 12 losses) makes her debut in Muay Thai. The Japanese fighter faces Jane Koo (Australia, 3 wins).
Other exciting matches include: Kim Tae-kyung (Korea) vs. Hong Yang Wu (China) in the 57 kg weight class; Woo Seung-min (Korea) vs. Wong Chiu Wai (Hong Kong) in the 71 kg weight class; Lee Sang-min (Korea) vs. Balihenbeike (China) in the 65 kg weight class.
