(Dan Tri) - This afternoon (November 30), the world's leading pickleball player, Dylan Frazier, had an exchange with the People's Public Security pickleball team.
Dylan Frazier is the world's top doubles player and 6th in singles according to the PPA (World Pickleball Association). At the invitation of Proton Vietnam, this player had a friendly meeting with the People's Public Security pickleball team at the Le Van Thiem pickleball court on the afternoon of November 30.

During the exchange, Dylan Frazier shared: "I just landed in Vietnam. My first impression is that Vietnamese people are very friendly. I love Vietnamese food and am impressed by the warmth of the people here."
Dylan Frazier also shared his training process and tips for conquering pickleball. He added: "I started playing pickleball 8 years ago in Florida. It's an accessible sport, especially for families. It helps members bond, eliminating age and financial gaps.
I started out as a level 3.5 (intermediate to advanced) athlete and it took me 8 years to get to where I am today. This is not an easy sport as people think. To be successful, athletes need effort, strategy and patience.
I hope Vietnamese athletes spend a lot of time practicing and making efforts to achieve good results. In pickleball, practicing techniques over and over again is important. That helps you create habits, reflexes and be able to put the ball where you want it."
The Vietnamese pickleball market is gradually growing and starting to attract foreign athletes. That is the premise towards a professional pickleball playground in Vietnam.
Vietnam is about to have a large-scale pickleball tournament system at the end of this year and early next year. The tournament system is called VPC (Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup) organized by New Sports.
Representative of the People's Police Sports Association, Mr. Hai Long, shared: "Our pickleball tournament system includes amateur tournaments, pro tournaments and a new format in Vietnam, the team tournament. This is the format that in the US, athletes compete under the name MLP.
I hope that pickleball in Vietnam can follow the trend as well as the professional system of the US right from the competition format. The system of the People's Police Sports Association will have three tournaments a year held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
I hope the pickleball movement can develop throughout Vietnam. We have a very successful Vietnamese-American player named Quang Duong. I believe that Vietnam will have many talents like that. Therefore, we want to organize a professional competition system and find excellent players for Vietnam."
The first VPC pickleball tournament will be held from December 12-15 at Bo De Stadium. The tournament will gather more than 300 athletes and have more than 20 events.
