Vingroup Corporation launches the campaign "For a green capital"

(Dan Tri) - Vingroup Corporation and other companies in the ecosystem launched the campaign "For a green capital", calling on the community to raise environmental awareness and join hands to reduce air pollution in Hanoi. The event took place on the morning of January 10.

A report by the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment shows that traffic is identified as the largest source of emissions, accounting for up to 70% of urban pollution emissions.

Since January 10, Vingroup and companies in the green mobility ecosystem including VinFast, VinBus, GSM, and FGF have simultaneously implemented many meaningful support activities and policies for customers who buy, rent, and use electric vehicles every day.

Specifically, VinFast will support 70 million VND for all customers who buy electric cars and register their license plates in Hanoi from January 10 to January 31, 2026. The specific support level will correspond to each car model and the form of buying a car with a battery or renting a battery, ranging from 3.6 million VND (for VF3 cars renting batteries) to 70 million VND (for VF9 cars buying batteries).

For customers buying electric motorbikes and electric bicycles, the support level will range from 500,000 VND (for Evo200 battery rental) to 3 million VND (for Theon S battery purchase).

The support amount from VinFast for the above vehicles will be converted into VinClub points for customers to use services at all member units of Vingroup Corporation, and will be paid after customers complete the license plate registration procedure.

For customers choosing to use public transport in Hanoi, VinBus Company will support 50% of the ticket price for all customers purchasing single-route monthly tickets on VinBus routes from February 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.

GSM will also launch membership packages specifically for the Hanoi area, with 365-day promotional codes for both Xanh SM Taxi and Xanh SM Bike services with destinations in Hanoi.

Meanwhile, FGF Company will directly offer car rental discounts and points for customers who rent cars for a short term and receive them in Hanoi from January 15 until further notice. Customers who buy used cars through FGF will enjoy the same support level as VinFast's policy for each car model.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, expressed his impression of Vingroup's specific solutions in focusing on implementing strong support policies and using electric vehicles to replace traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, this conversion not only significantly reduces emissions into the environment but also contributes to bringing Hanoi closer to the goal of becoming a green, sustainably developed city.

"With that purpose and meaning, I call on the entire capital community, from each citizen, business to organizations, to be aware and take action to protect our living environment. Practical actions can start from switching to using electric vehicles or electrified public transport, not using coal stoves, burning garbage outdoors, increasing tree planting, protecting green spaces where we live," said Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup, affirmed that the effort to restore the purity of the capital's sky is not the responsibility of any one person, but is a call from the heart, requiring the cooperation of the whole community.

"I believe that, with the determination and solidarity of the whole community, the "For a Green Capital" campaign will be successful, bringing cleaner air and a safer living environment to the people of Hanoi," Mr. Quang shared.
