According to the latest update from Forbes, the list of Vietnamese billionaires has only 5 people, including Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, VietJet Air Chairman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Hoa Phat Group Chairman Tran Dinh Long, Thaco Chairman Tran Ba Duong and Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group (stock code: MSN) is no longer on the list of USD billionaires. This is not the first time Mr. Quang has left the Forbes list.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang has been on the list of USD billionaires since 2019. Mr. Quang's assets reached their highest level according to Forbes ' ranking of 1.9 billion USD in April 2022.
Due to its heavy dependence on MSN stock price fluctuations, his assets frequently change and he has entered/exited the list of USD billionaires many times. Closing the trading session on the morning of January 24, MSN shares were at VND66,900/share, up 2% compared to the reference price.
However, compared to the beginning of 2025, this stock decreased by more than 4% and compared to the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2024, MSN stock decreased by more than 10%.

Mr. Vuong is ranked 839th in the Forbes list of world billionaires. This billionaire is directly holding more than 691 million VIC shares of Vingroup Corporation.
Behind is Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao with assets worth 2.8 billion USD, down 100 million USD from the beginning of 2025 but up 600 million USD compared to the beginning of 2024. Ms. Thao currently directly holds more than 130 million HDB shares of Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) and more than 47 million VJC shares.
Chairman of Techcombank (stock code: TCB) Ho Hung Anh recorded assets of 1.8 billion USD. Previously, Mr. Anh's assets decreased to 1.7 billion USD but quickly increased again. Mr. Ho Hung Anh is directly holding more than 78 million TCB shares.
The assets of Mr. Tran Dinh Long and Mr. Tran Ba Duong also remained the same compared to the beginning of 2025, reaching 2.4 billion USD and 1.8 billion USD, respectively.
At Hoa Phat, Mr. Long is directly holding more than 1.6 billion HPG shares, while Mr. Duong holds more than 50 million HNG shares of Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agriculture Joint Stock Company and more than 28 million THA shares of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company.
