EXCITED TO RETURN TO THE ORIGIN OF VOVINAM
In recent days, the training atmosphere at Phu Tho Stadium, Military Zone 7 Martial Arts Club has been bustling with the presence of hundreds of Vovinam martial artists from 35 countries and territories practicing to prepare for the Vovinam World Championship. In addition to the training goal, Vovinam students also consider this a trip back to the roots of Vietnamese martial arts. Master and Technical Director of Vovinam - Italian Vovinam Maestro Vittorio Cera also took the opportunity to take his students to visit the Vovinam ancestral hall, discuss with veteran martial artists to learn more about the quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts.

"From what I observed from the training teams, the level of athletes this year is very high, with little difference. I hope to show the best of what I have learned from my teachers to achieve a high ranking," said Italian player Francesco Brambilla. Meanwhile, athlete Maxime Chung of the French vovinam team confided: "It is a pleasure for me and my teammates to practice in such a happy and warm atmosphere in the homeland of vovinam. We are actively preparing and constantly learning from strong teams. I feel excited to be about to step onto the competition stage. I hope we will perform well on the stage and enjoy impressive moments."

General Secretary of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation (VVF) Nguyen Binh Dinh said: "In addition to organizing the world championship, VVF also coordinates to organize sideline activities to welcome vovinam students back to Vietnam after 12 years. In which, each Vietnamese vovinam athlete carries the mission of sharing and promoting vovinam - Vietnamese martial arts with international friends, continuing the work of generations of Vietnamese martial arts masters, including my father - the late Grand Master Nguyen Van Chieu, the Chief of Vovinam sect".
NEW DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF VIETNAMESE MARTIAL ARTS
Dr. Mai Huu Tin, President of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation and President of the World Vovinam Federation, said that the World Vovinam Federation Congress for the 2023-2027 term taking place today (November 24) opens a new development period for vovinam - Vietnamese martial arts when adjusting the regulations and methods of operation in accordance with the regulations and criteria of the International Olympic Committee. This is a necessary step for vovinam to be considered for competition in the ASIAD, Olympics like taekwondo, judo, karate...
It is known that the World Vovinam Federation has made efforts to arrange financial resources to cover all food, accommodation and travel expenses in Vietnam for all 35 teams participating in the 2023 Vovinam World Championship with more than 600 members. "I know that the athletes have tried their best to practice and prepare for this important event. They have overcome all obstacles to get here, which is a personal victory, because of their great love for Vovinam. There are many sacrifices, including time and money for a long and expensive trip from Africa, Europe, Australia or the Middle East. Therefore, we also try to take care of the participating members in the best conditions possible", Mr. Mai Huu Tin expressed.
The leaders of the World Vovinam Federation also expressed their gratitude for the great contributions of generations of martial artists and coaches in more than 70 countries and territories around the world who have made tireless efforts over the past 85 years to bring Vovinam to millions of students. "We promise to wholeheartedly develop the discipline, contributing to spreading the best cultural values of Vietnam, which are also the best values of humanity, to more people across the five continents," said Mr. Mai Huu Tin.
