Female bank officer "good at public affairs, good at housework"

Dedicated to work, attentive to family

Having worked at the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) for nearly 20 years, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Huyen has held many positions such as cashier, accountant, and credit officer. Currently, she is the Head of the Planning - Business Team of the VBSP Transaction Office in Phu Hoa District. Regardless of her position, she always tries her best, and together with her colleagues, she wholeheartedly contributes to bringing policy capital to the right beneficiaries. "The more I work, the more I love the industry and profession, and consider the VBSP my second home," Ms. Huyen shared.

The nature of her work requires her to regularly go to the grassroots level, grasp the situation of each borrower, check the use of capital and urge debt collection and handling of outstanding interest. Despite the hardship, she has never been discouraged. Because according to her, the effectiveness of policy capital lies not only in the numbers but also in the human value - helping the poor and other policy beneficiaries have the opportunity to escape poverty and improve their lives.

Not only is she a diligent officer, Ms. Huyen is also a devoted wife and mother. Living in Hoa Vinh ward (Dong Hoa town), working in Phu Hoa district, due to the nature of her job, she has to work all day, coming home in the evening and sometimes working all day on Saturday and Sunday. However, she always tries to arrange her time to take care of her small family.

“In the morning, I wake up early to prepare breakfast, get my children ready for school, and then go to work. Even though I am tired at night, I still try to cook a nutritious meal for the whole family to gather together. My family is a strong spiritual support for me to always try to complete all tasks assigned by my superiors. It is the warm moments with my family that give me the energy to continue working steadily,” she confided.

To balance work and life, Ms. Huyen maintains a healthy lifestyle, actively participates in sports activities and emulation movements launched by the industry. Thanks to that, she always maintains an optimistic spirit, good health and high work efficiency.

With her dedication and sense of responsibility, Ms. Huyen has been ranked as an excellent performer for many years and has been recognized as a grassroots Emulation Fighter. She also actively participates in movements such as the Banking Sports Festival, the Women's Movement and local volunteer activities.

Commenting on Ms. Huyen, Mr. Phan Thanh Hien, Director of the Phu Hoa District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, said: “Ms. Huyen is an exemplary officer, always completing assigned tasks well. In her, we clearly see a spirit of learning, meticulousness and positive attitude towards work. She is also one of the leading factors in the emulation movement of the unit”.

Not only leaving an impression within the industry, Ms. Huyen also left many good impressions in the hearts of local people. Ms. Dam Thi Thom, head of the savings and loan group in Hoa Dinh Tay commune (Phu Hoa district) shared: “Ms. Huyen is an enthusiastic, cheerful person, always ready to support borrowers and group leaders whenever needed. For example, at the end of 2024, when the People's Credit Fund deployed the policy credit management application, we were very surprised and confused because it was the first time we did it. Thanks to Ms. Huyen's enthusiastic guidance, taking advantage of the whole weekend to hold our hands and show us how to do it, we were able to access and use this application conveniently. Whenever we encountered problems at work, we had questions and she answered them in detail. Everyone loves working with Ms. Huyen."

For Ms. Huyen, each word of thanks from the people is a motivation to continue working. She expressed: “I am always aware that achievements are not only thanks to individuals but also the efforts of the whole team. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues, the trust of the people and will always try harder to be worthy of that trust.”

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hien, in the coming time, the task of implementing policy credit in the district will face many challenges. However, with their courage and experience, cadres like Ms. Huyen will continue to be the core force contributing to the effective implementation of national target programs on poverty reduction, new rural construction and socio-economic development in the locality.
