Attack on multiple fronts
The Russian military continues to intensify offensive operations in the Kanal sub-district of Chasov Yar, while advancing into other areas of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. According to reports from the scene, fierce battles are taking place in the Kalinovka settlement.
Currently, the Russian military is intensifying its offensive to take advantage of the tactical advantage of the partial withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Chasov to Kharkov. This partial withdrawal has weakened the Ukrainian Armed Forces in some areas and caused them to lose control of Kleshcheevka, creating new problems for the Ukrainian military.
However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to resist, relying mainly on the operations of FPV drones. According to AVP, the Russian military admits that the attacks by Ukrainian drone squadrons are causing them problems, but notes that this will not stop the Russian military from advancing.
Currently, the Ukrainian forces are divided, having to be present in several areas of the front at the same time. In addition to Chasov Yar, the Russian army is also actively advancing near the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Sokol, Novopokrovskoye, Semyonovka and Umanskoye. This puts significant pressure on the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, forcing them to redistribute their forces and resources.
Artillery and aviation were key factors in success.
The main problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in all sectors of the front is the active work of Russian artillery and aviation units. These forces provide significant support for the attacks of Russian infantry and ensure the suppression of defensive positions, while destroying Ukrainian infrastructure.
Russian artillery played a key role in the offensive operations. The accuracy and power of artillery strikes on fortifications and command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine facilitated the successful assault by the infantry. In addition, Russian air strikes on the Ukrainian rear and supply routes further complicated the situation for Ukrainian forces on the front.
Attack on Krasnogorovka
After taking control of Netailovo, the Russian army continued to advance towards the Domakha ravine. Here, the Russian Armed Forces imposed a partial battle with the Ukrainian Armed Forces to “settle” Krasnogorovka. Superior firepower and effective tactical training were the factors that helped the Russian forces achieve success on the front.
Ukrainian sources admit that one of the main problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the inability to effectively counter Russian artillery and aviation attacks. The lack of modern air defense and artillery systems leaves Ukrainian positions vulnerable to attack.
The problem of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Currently, the Ukrainian army faces many problems, including a lack of manpower and resources. The distance between the front and the rear, the movement of troops and supplies is constantly chaotic and difficult to coordinate actions. In these conditions, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to use non-standard tactical solutions and actively use drones and other modern technologies.
However, despite all efforts, the Ukrainian army could not compensate for the losses and conduct effective resistance. The loss of equipment and manpower as well as the destruction of infrastructure led to a decrease in the combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, allowing the Russian army to advance further.
The offensive operations of the Russian army in the direction of Donetsk are of great strategic importance. Controlling key populated areas and destroying the logistical chain of the Ukrainian Armed Forces allows Russia to consolidate its position and create conditions for further advances.
Russian firepower attacked and destroyed Ukrainian equipment in the area of the special military operation.
