Attacks on Ukrainian forces northwest of the town of Avdeevka
On August 3, SF reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost at least four US-made M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicles in recent battles with the Russian army in the Donetsk direction.
Videos of damaged or destroyed vehicles were publicly posted in the media between July 28 and August 3. Two of the four vehicles were attacked by Lancet suicide drones, one was destroyed by an FPV drone, and the other was destroyed by a Kornet anti-tank guided missile.

Since last year, the US has delivered about 300 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, along with four M7 Bradley fire support vehicles, to Kiev forces. About half of these vehicles have been damaged, destroyed or captured by Russian forces.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces first used Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in combat during the spring counteroffensive last year. The Ukrainian counteroffensive failed, with the M2A2 Bradley performing poorly at the time.
The US later upgraded Ukraine's Bradleys with explosive reactive armor. However, the M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles continued to be defeated by Russian weapons.
41 Ukrainian targets attacked by Russian Lancet suicide drones
On August 4, SF reported that over the past week, the Russian military damaged or destroyed 41 different targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using Lancet suicide drones.
Ukraine's losses from July 28 to August 3, as recorded by Lostarmour.info, included: Eight self-propelled guns, including two German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000s, one American-made M109, one Czech-made ShKH vz. 77 DANA and one Polish-made Krab; 14 towed guns, including three American-made M777s, three M119s and one M189; one Czech-made RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher; six main battle tanks; two American-made M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicles; one American-made Oshkosh M-ATV anti-ambush-protected mine-protected vehicle; one air defense system; one American-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar; one Ukrainian-made Bukovel-AD electronic warfare system; Five unidentified military vehicles; one Soviet-made Su-25 fighter jet.
The Lancet suicide drone was developed by ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of the Russian defense giant Kalashnikov Concern. The company produces two versions of the suicide drone: the Izdeliye-52, which has an endurance of 30 minutes and a one-kilogram warhead, and the larger Izdeliye-51, which has an endurance of 40 minutes and is equipped with a three-kilogram warhead.
The Lancet drone flies towards the designated area using a GLONASS-supported inertial navigation system. Once in the area, the operator uses the onboard optical-electronic system via a two-way data link to detect, track and lock on the target. The laser rangefinder then controls the detonation of the warhead.

Ukraine's attempts to stop the Lancet suicide drones with anti-aircraft fire, electronic warfare or countermeasures have so far been largely unsuccessful.
Lostarmour.info recorded 170 Lancet suicide drone attacks in July. The number of recorded attacks this month has reached 20. It should be noted that many attacks are still being classified, which means the actual number of attacks could be much higher.
