Spain's Marc Guiu was emotional when he scored just 34 seconds after his debut for Barca, in a 1-0 win over Bilbao in round 10 of La Liga on October 22.
"I still can't believe it," Guiu said after scoring the only goal in the 80th minute to give Barca the win. "I can barely breathe. I've worked all my life for this opportunity to play for Barca, and everything has come together perfectly. Scoring like this is something I dream about almost every night."

Coming on as a substitute for Fermin Lopez in the 79th minute, when Barca were drawing 0-0 with Bilbao, Marc Guiu needed just 23 seconds to score. The young La Masia star got down to receive a through ball from Joao Felix, pushed the ball a bit further and then finished past goalkeeper Unai Simon. After Guiu opened the scoring, his teammates ran to celebrate with the young talent in an emotional way. According to Opta , Guiu is the youngest player to score on his Barca debut in the 21st century, at just 17 years and 291 days.
Guiu made his debut for the Barca reserve team, playing eight minutes for coach Rafael Marquez against Gimnastic on September 10. The Catalan striker is the top scorer for the Barca youth team this season, with six goals in seven games. Guiu was called up to the first team for the first time in a La Liga match when Barca visited Granada in Round 9, but did not get on the field.
Guiu finally got his chance when Barca struggled against Bilbao. "When the young players are ready, I put them on the pitch," coach Xavi said after the match. "Guiu's face on the bench had no fear. He looked at me like: 'Coach, let me play'. Everything went well in the end. I'm very happy."
After the match, Guiu thanked coach Xavi for his trust and opportunity. The young Barca talent also said that he felt honored to have scored against Unai Simon, Spain's top goalkeeper. Inigo Martinez, a defender who played for Bilbao before moving to Barca this season, shared the joy with Guiu in the dressing room. "He said I would definitely lose sleep, but to enjoy it," Guiu told Sport after the match.
On a day without many key players such as Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Frenkie De Jong or Pedri, Barca could not overwhelm Bilbao despite playing at home at the Olympic Stadium. The only goal by Guiu helped Barca win narrowly and have 24 points after 10 matches, continuing to follow the two leading teams Real and Girona with a gap of one point.
