On the evening of July 10, 2024, a livestream program called Unpacked was organized by Samsung Vietnam. This is a program to introduce new products of this technology "giant" with many notable names such as smartphones, smartwatches, smart rings of new generations.
However, something unexpected happened when the livestream crashed. The screen displayed a message: "Your unlicensed Adobe application has been disabled. Please replace it with a genuine Adobe application."
It is known that Adobe sent a notice to users using cracked software (non-genuine software of the company) with a warning that these applications may contain malicious code, harming their personal data and work.
In addition, Adobe not only tries to disable cracked Photoshop and Lightroom software, but also offers exclusive discount codes. When users launch the cracked software, they will immediately see a message about the unauthorized Adobe application being disabled, along with Adobe's promotional ads about the benefits of using genuine software.
Currently, the subscription price for Adobe software packages is about 30 USD/month (about 750,000 VND) for each registered account, if users choose to pay annually.
Meanwhile, the package that only includes Adobe Photoshop - a popular photo editing software on computers today - costs about 23 USD/month (about 570,000 VND).
